• Hello, I created the /wpdata_backup/ folder and specified it in the local file system (I presume local to the server). The screen does not take the folder name location, perhaps I need to specify some path?

    Hi @jkacher,

    Thanks for the post.

For local backups, please make sure to put the full path to the folder you are trying to write to and that it has write permissions.

If that doesn’t work, you can use the repository backup in WP Data Access > Settings > Repository as a temporary backup solution.

    See here: https://share.zight.com/Kouk8re4

Peter is planning to improve backup solutions in the future but we don’t have an ETA yet. 🙏

Hope this helps! Let us know if you have more questions.

I created the folder https://onlinecheckerslibrary.com/wpdata_backup/ , it has all 7 as permission, cannot activate, says ERROR: Invalid folder

    Hi @jkacher,

Local File System backups are often used on local installs, not hosted installs as there could be limits.

For reference, a full path would look something like: C:\Users\xxx\Local Sites\wpdataaccessk\app\public\wp-content\uploads\wp-data-access\backups\

You can opt to use the Repository route as we suggested previously.

Let us know if that helps and if you have other questions. 🙏
