  • Hi there,

    Sorry if this sounds silly but did you click ‘Save Changes’ after reducing the split size?
    The reason I ask is the log is still showing a split size of 400MB when I review the info.

    2977.520 (6) Beginning creation of dump of uploads (split every: 400 MB)

    Best regards,

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

    thanks for the quick reply, yes i did, i have tried several times on lower splits, the last one i tried i put back to 400mb so thats why that shows in that log. I belive the total site files are around 1.3GB, could this be causing issues?

    It looks like it’s a resource issue.

    Can add the following to your wp-config: define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘512M’ );

    Also, it looks like you have the binary zip disabled. Can you ask your hosts to enable it. UpdraftPlus uses an alternative methods if the binary zip is not enabled but the binary zip is much faster.

    I am having a similar issue. I have been backing up to Dropbox with no issue. I am switching to Google Drive and the backup creates a few files and then hangs. If I switch it back to Dropbox it works fine. I also have a second website that I changed to also backup to Google Drive and it works fine. Hoping that you have some success so that hopefully it will be the magic answer for my issue as well.
