Update — After no files growing for over 2 hours, I manually renamed the file to remove the random extension to just .zip – transfer & tried to restore it

The error Incompatible Archive.: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature when attempting a restoration generally indicates that there is an issue with the backup file you are trying to restore, most likely because the archive did not close properly during the creation process.
We have a Troubleshooting section in our support documentation on generating backups that provides some additional techniques that you can use to help figure out where the backup creation process is breaking down.
The first thing that I would do is try changing the Backup Compressor to System Zip in the Total Upkeep settings to see if that helps you get a backup generated successfully.
