    Hello,
i have updrafts plus installed on my wordpress (www.mysite.de) page and it makes a daily backup.
Now I installed a second wordpress installation with a subdomain (shop.mysite.de). There I also installed updrfat. There, updraft only makes a backup when I log in or start it manually. The page is still in maintenance mode because it is under construction. Is the problem with the maintenance mode?
Or may I not have 2 installations in a domain and need the premium version here

    regards
    Saskia

    Hi,

You can change the backup to run automatically if you go to UpdraftPlus “Settings” tab. You should see an option to schedule backups 4 / 8 / 12 hours, daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the quick response.
I know the setting for it and it is set on “daily”.
But there is no daily update.

And the FTP settings are correct, because I can do a manual update.

I have now set it to 2 hours and will report

Does anyone visit your site that’s in maintenance mode? WordPress’s scheduled task (cron) engine won’t be operative, and tasks will back up until someone logs in. Of relevance: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-am-i-getting-warnings-about-my-site-not-having-enough-visitors/

Right now, nobody’s calling the site because it’s in maintenance mode. But I’ve been developing the shop for 3 months now, because I do this besides my “normal” job.

If it is certain that the backup will work with the switch from maintenance mode to live mode, I am reassured.

That’s why I asked if a backup would be made because the site is in maintenance mode.

    Hi,

Yes, it’s because of maintenance mode/lack of visitors.
