I think you can try with start job with a link option in
BackWPUp -> Jobs -> choose your job -> Schedule tab -> section Start job -> choose “with a link”
After that, give the user the link, so when he wants, he can access that link to trigger backup 🙂
Thanks for your reply. That appears to work. One thing I noted is that by the link option it says “This option has to be activated to make the link work.” How does one activate the option? Apparently mine was for this site as it generated a backup. Also, when using the link it simply brings you to a blank white screen that gives no info as to if the job is running or when it is completed. Can that be changes somehow so the person I hand this link off to will be aware of what is going on?
Hi @jschmidtsbss
Actually, BackWPUp was not designed to used by many users, and the solution I gave you is kind of workaround solution 🙂
“Can that be changes somehow so the person I hand this link off to will be aware of what is going on?”
I think in job Log Files section, untick option “Send email with log only when errors occur during job execution.” and in “Send log to email address” add the user email in order let him tracking what going on after the backup progress is done.
Hope that may help 🙂
