Backup will restart now error

I am using BackWPup 3.1.4 on WordPress 4.1
I am getting a backup will restart error, I’ve tried both backing up to Dropbox and to folder.
Possibly relevant info:
- restart occurs in the same spot for dropbox & to folder, logs below
- I’ve tried both zip and tar gz
- I schedule & start via the URL as I get a curl problem related to SSL
- on the jobs page, the top progress indicator shows Creates archive
- on the jobs page, the bottom progress indicator shows & stalls on Restart will be executed now.
The restart occurs in the same spot for both destinations, the logs follow.
Any help would be appreciated.
