Backupify plugin breaks the automatic updater

I recently installed the ‘backupify’ plugin, and some time after that, discovered that I could not use automatic updates to update WordPress or any of the plugins. Finally tonight I tried disabling that plugin, and now everything is fine.

I have emailed Backupify to let them know, but for not it’s not a huge problem to disable that plugin when I need to update.

Just wanted to post this here in case anyone else has the same problem and goes through the frustration I did before I figured it out 🙂
