• Using BackWPUp Version 3.3.3
Attempting to Back up to DropBox. All authentification with DropBox completed successfully. The third stage of the backup always fails when uploading to DropBox. This can occur at any time during the process, sometimes just before it would have finished. In the logs I always get the following:-

    [28-Jun-2016 14:55:32] 24437 Files with 1.56 GB in Archive.

[28-Jun-2016 15:15:51] ERROR: Job has ended with errors in 1395 seconds. You must resolve the errors for correct execution.

I am not sure I believe the error as if there was really a problem in resolving content.dropbox.com, it would have occurred before this stage started, not at some time during the stage. Also, other WordPress sites on the same server successfully backup to the same dropbox account.

I have see that ofeten in the last days. In moment i think it is a problem on Dropbox side. Or ist the a securty plgion installed that avoids the connection?

    Hey,

Is it maybe something to do with the Dropbox Version 1 API deprecating? https://cloudrail.com/dropbox-api-v1-deprecated-upgrade-cloudrail/

I do work for CloudRail. We’re actually currently working on a PHP SDK for our Single Interface (in short, abstracted APIs using the same function, with Dropbox included as a service) that should be ready in about three weeks. Should be good as, to my knowledge, Dropbox have said they won’t be supporting PHP in the next release.

Hüsken, if you are interested, send our CEO a message: [email protected]. He can talk about the PHP SDK with you, give you some technical advice, and maybe even a sneak preview. (Bonus, he can do it all in German! Alas I still find the language very hard to learn.)

    Hello,

the v1 schuld be deprecated in 2017 in i hope that it hace nothing to do with that bvore the date.

I will use the WordPress core funtions in the new API and i think that is why i must implement it by my self. but if there a good SDK i will use that.

Felix can send a mail to support at backwpup dot com and we can talk about it 😉
