The plugin should always allow you to log in unless you unchecked the boxes on Protection Options tab:

These two boxes should always be checked:

Automatically add admins to Allow List
Check credentials on all login attempts

if you uncheck these you will be locked out.

    reinstall the plugin
    activate the plugin
go to the Protection Options Page
    check the first two boxes.

Press Save Changes button on bottom of page.

    Go to cache

    Clear the Cache.

One more thing to do is to go to the Challange and Deny settings page and make sure that you have a captcha checked. This is the “second chance” captcha and is only shown when someone is denied access. This prevents false positives.

Unchecked these two options, which you write. I set Google recaptcha. Everything I did as directed. For now, I did not check whether it is improving and there are no errors. Tomorrow I will write, if everything is in order. In addition to still use this plugin Ban, WP Anti Spam IQ Block Country and All-in-One WP Security. Perhaps they may interfere with your plug?

    Check – not uncheck.

Do not use the stop spammers with those other plugins. No good will come of it.

I understand. For now, everything works as it should. At the moment I turned off IQ Block Country. I’m thinking of excluding or removing others.
    Regards.
