I had such high expectations for the insights plugin and I think the idea is wonderful but it is so broken!

First I tried to connect to google and or worked but the code was bad.

Then it escalated and started telling me I can not connect to google. “Can not connect to google”

Then my whole website completely is broken with a white screen of death right before my launch.

Golly gosh I am so disappointed and frustrated! Can not even log a ticket on your website! it is broken as well!

I promise I tried activating and deactivating everything even my theme, all plugins everything.

Have been struggling for a week to resolve the “bad google code” issue.

I can not even seem to find other threads with this issue.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,
If you are getting the error that the Google code you are putting in is bad, one of the following is true:
    1. the code being input is not valid, ie it’s the wrong code
    2. your server’s firewall or cURL configurations are preventing WordPress from being able to communicate with Google’s website.

I’d recommend reviewing the video on https://www.monsterinsights.com/docs/connect-google-analytics/, and if you are still having issues, contact us at monsterinsights.com/contact so we can help. I can assure you the plugin works just fine as we have ~2 million active sites on it, it’s likely just a server configuration issue specific to your hosting account.

As for the white screen issue, that cannot be caused by our plugin, as we only do frontend output, in the head area, once you have a profile setup, and if you haven’t been able to authenticate, you wouldn’t be able to pick a profile to actually use. Unfortunately, the issue you are experiencing here is from another plugin or theme.

Our website is also working just fine, we’ve been getting tickets through it all week and have an automated system that tests our ability to receive support tickets through it. Make sure you are using the presale form on our contact page, as unless you have a paid MonsterInsights account, you will not be able to contact us via our priority support form, you will have to use the presale one.
