    Hi,

I used the plugin to optimise the images on my website. Happy generally, however, the hero banner image quality in the headers is terrible.

Is there a way to revert these images back to the original? Or can you advise how I can resolve this. The images were originally sharp, but come across very blurry now.

    Thanks,
    Theo

I wouldn’t call it terrible, and with the shadow effect, your visitors probably aren’t even going to notice (at least I would have never known there was anything different about your home page header if you hadn’t said it first). Just for fun, I’d recommend going and asking 10 people to look at your page and see if they notice anything amiss to see if they even mention the image.

BUT, there IS a reason it’s lower quality, and that’s because it is too small (dimensions): https://wafflesandlamingtons.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Waffles-and-Lamingtons-travel-page-1.jpg
The image is 1440×900, and on smaller devices that’s fine, but on a 1080p screen, it’s getting upscaled and losing it’s “crispness”.

If you’re just using the free functionality, there’s no undo built into the plugin, so you’ll need to re-upload the images, or restore them from a backup.
