I have an issue with Yoast SEO on WordPress, where the correct meta-description I configured in Yoast is not displaying properly in Google search results. Despite inspecting the source code, which shows the correct meta-description, Google continues to display a different description. I’ve checked indexing, content updates, the use of noindex/nofollow tags, and attempted a new indexation through Google Search Console’s URL inspection tool. Despite these efforts, the problem persists. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks for reaching out about your meta description. Since what you have entered in the Yoast SEO is shown in the page source, the problem is not with our plugin.

Google is the one who decides what your title and meta description say. While Google typically uses the title and meta description from the metadata for indexing, this is not always the case. The title and meta description you enter in our snippet preview are suggestions for Google. Google’s goal is to represent best and describe each result.
