I just updated to version 2.4 of Google Calendar Events. Prior to this, everything was working flawlessly. After updating, I am getting an error message that reads “An error has occurred: Bad Request”. This happens whether I try to access the feed on my web site or through the “View” button directly on the feeds link within the plugin page itself. I have checked the Calendar ID and it is correct. I am not sure what to try next. Any help would be appreciated.

  • I am having the same issue! But a Little stranger.

I have ONE Google Calender, but made different Feeds in order to Show the calender in different layouts.

So, the small preview on start-page does not work “Bad request”.
See this on the right side: soerchle-gugge.ch
    Also here (same feed): soerchle-gugge.ch/Termine

But when I go to the site with the other feed (same Calender) i see it all: http://www.soerchle-gugge.ch/kalender

I did not to the API yet…

    Can anyone help?

    Hi

My problem is solved! Still don’t know why it worked at one point and did not work at another point with the same feed.

But after update to wp 4.3.1 and adding the api key; all fine!

Yes you probably need to add an API key. In previous versions it was not required, but now it is.

We have also released version 3.0.0 so we suggest you update to that when you get a chance. There are a lot of changes so we also suggest reading through this first for more details about the update: http://docs.simplecalendar.io/update-2-4-to-3-x/

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks!
