@coleraine This is possibly due to your hosting provider blocking incoming REST API requests, or alternatively issues with security plugins or software. Do you have any other sites on the same web host you can test with?
Yep just tested it and I still get the same error.
@coleraine Which hosting provider are you using? Additionally you want to share your Site Health information we might be able to spot something.
I use Bigscoots as my host, what other information would you need?
@coleraine Thanks for the update, before checking with your host can you attempt the following:
1. Deactivate and delete the plugin from your WordPress plugins panel
2. Open up the Chrome browser incognito mode
3. Temporarily deactivate any caching or security plugin you have active (iThemes, WordFence etc). There may be configuration settings in either impacting setup.
4. Install and activate Site Kit from the WordPress repository
If that fails you may need to disable ModSecurity from your hosting control panel before trying again.
Hello everyone,
Thanks to your reports we were able to apply a fix on our side for the issue.
Could you try the setup process again and let me know if you’re able to complete it? Thank you!
