It’s most certainly not abandoned, it is still cared about, but at times things move slowly. I have definitely raised concern over the fact that this has activation issues, proposed fixes, but it needs approved by the “higher ups” and it has yet to receive that.
You may not have, but clearly the people in charge have abandoned it. We are intrusting our site long term to these plugins. Badges are not a feature we can just pull back from our members.
If you include the add-ons this is one of the most expensive plugins being sold. And no one in charge seems to care it doesn’t work and they have zero interest in fixing it.
PS
How can you mark this resolved?
I marked it as resolved because the issue has been reported, solution has been found (but not pushed out everywhere, yet), and in regards to the original thread author, the issue has been resolved, through granted access to the install itself.
FIQ, are you an owner of a copy of BadgeOS Reports?
You can’t tell? How may owners do you have? The fact you are to ask tells us everything.
I still don’t think you realize who we are so let me tell you a story….
Once upon a time… you had a groundbreaking idea for a plugin. It could change eduction as we know it. Sadly despite a major effort by the developers this great vision was not quickly embraced by everyone. Then tragically this vision was thrown aside in order to focus resources on more productive enterprises. Now this great idea was abandoned and left to the powerless to keep the touch alive. However hope was still alive. A white knight with vast resources was here to save this great idea. But it was too late. The original developers had given up all hope and where no longer willing to devote their resources. And sadly the plugin died a slow death and took all the sites that supported it along for the ride.
@fiq: Only this topic’s original poster or the plugin developer can decide whether this topic is resolved or not. As you are neither of these people, I suggest you start your own topic.
FIQ, for all I know, you chimed in in someone else’s thread because you found something to reply about. I am able to look up purchase history of the extension where it’s sold, but “FIQ” doesn’t exactly tell me much regarding previous purchasers.
Also, the update got the necessary fix pushed out Monday night.
