• Plugin seems to have a lot of popovers which make things busy and a bit spammy. UX could be improved in general. In particular though, I was working my way down the ‘Settings’ tab and got stuck trying to attach external storage. When an external storage is selected, a new part of the page pops up further down. However, if you double click an option such as ‘Google Drive’, the entire signin for that service is hidden while the upper ‘Google Drive’ still looks selected due to browser focus being on that element. This is a simple bug but a large miss from a UX perspective. I got stuck at this point with a message saying only ‘You can send a backup to more than one destination with an add-on.’ I thought the remote storage was an add-on only and abandoned the plugin because of this.

    Hi @tikitorcher,

Not at all; many free cloud options are available, just as in the plugin description (paragraph number 2) at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/updraftplus/:

Backup into the cloud directly to Dropbox, Google Drive, Amazon S3 (or compatible), UpdraftVault, Rackspace Cloud, FTP, DreamObjects, Openstack Swift, and email. The paid version also backs up to Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Storage, Backblaze B2, SFTP, SCP, and WebDAV.

That’s 9 cloud storage options supported in the free version (some of which support multiple providers – e.g. Digital Ocean Spaces is compatible with Amazon S3 and works in the free version), and an extra 7 in the paid version.

    Best wishes,
    David

    Hi @tikitorcher,

I’m just reviewing our recent negative reviews to see what we can improve. In light of the mistake, is there any chance you would consider updating your review?

I bumped this up a star. Clicking a remote storage option twice should NOT toggle show/hide on the sign in div twice. Beefing up the javascript/jquery here will go a long way. As you can tell, I did ran into this snag and got rather confused about your offerings. Please review this and tell me I’m not crazy. :S
    Thanks!
