Hoi Eefke,
It could be caching, or maintenance mode in itself.
It could also be CSS, or the Consent Cookies.
Let’s begin with the latter, in browser console -> application -> Cookies -> for the Complianz cookies, could you check when they expire? Also called Max-Age.
regards Aert
Hi Aert,
Some expire 12-2022, some 01-2023.
BTW, this only occurs on the clients computer, windows with slow internet. I work on Mac with chrome…maybe this could say something.
Hope you can help again…
Thanks
Do you see any javascript errors in the console?
Hi Rogier,
Got 4 messages, all about the same;
Page was loaded over HTTPS, but requested a insecure element … Request was automatically upgraded to HTTPS.
This website isn’t live jet and needs to be migrated before going live. So these issues will be fixed then.
Kind regards,
Eefke
Hi @eefkedigibitch,
Another suggestion would be to check your Site & WordPress URLs configured under Settings > General.
As the site currently does not have an SSL certificate: if the URLs listed under Settings have https:// in front of them, the Cookie Banner CSS file will appear as “Mixed Content” and will not be able to load as a result.
Kind regards,
Jarno
Hi Jarno,
Those URls don’t have HTTPS but HTTP…
So that can’t be the issue right?
Thanks for your help doh.
Hi @eefkedigibitch,
We can always have a closer look when the site is live/finished, I would personally expect this to be resolved when the site is live and the aforementioned points (no SSL, maintenance mode) in this thread have been addressed.
There’s a bunch of variables that could be involved, but at this point it’s a bit of a challenge to verify which would be the exact cause, due to the site being behind Maintenance mode.
Kind regards,
Jarno
Oké Jarno, I’ll check it again when the site is live.
Hopefully next week…
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards,
Eefke
