we have the same problem: The cookie-banner remains visible when I press the link ‘Okay’.
We use WordPress 5.5. and EU Cookie Law Version 3.1.4 (no other cookie-plugins).

it was simple and easy…
after my updates today on two of my most important clients websites, I have the same issue on evolve theme with redux framework… but not on twentyfourteen…
so it might be some theme / framework plugin issue…
unfortunately, you seem to be busy somehow, as a lot of unresolved topics are on the forum (security included) and somehow some months, you could not solve the problem, I cannot wait either and need to find another solution for my projects…
but anyway, thanks for your work until now…
