Base Color setting conflict with block editor

If you have implemented the background using CSS, then it falls in your hands to also enqueue that CSS for the editor. This thread should help you with that: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/337033/how-to-override-gutenberg-admin-css

By using the Customiser to set the background, you do not need to do any of that, as the process is automated. It is up to you to weigh in your options and see which works best.

However, please note that we will not be able to directly assist with implementing/debugging custom code, as that falls out of the scope of the support channel here.
