I’m using v3.3.1.2 of Simply Static on a ubuntu server. The Diagnostics show Basic Auth failing with this error message:

Basic Auth is enabled, but no username or password is set in Simply Static -> Settings -> Debug -> Basic Auth

The problem is basic auth is NOT enabled (and no I don’t want to enable it). I can’t generate any exports because of this error, but the error as far as I can tell is wrong so I’m stuck. Is there anything else that could be causing this error or is this a bug that needs to be fixed in an update to the plugin?

    Hey @thomasruns,

    thanks for reaching out!

This should be fixed now with today’s update!

We had to add a rule specifically for Ubuntu 24+ – thankfully, we are running the same stack, so we were able to identify and patch that quickly.

    Hi @patrickposner,

Thanks for the quick fix and reply. I was able to test today and am now able to export on Ubuntu.
