Basic ImageBrowser fails upon loading image with special characters

Using the “Basic ImageBrowser”, navigating to a picture with special characters, such as Umlaute (ÄÖÜ), lets the gallery revert to it first entry (or first one without unsupported characters).

Should be pretty straight forward to replicate. Just take any picture, rename it to imägebrowser.jpg and use it in a imagebrowser gallery.

Issue is in both 2.x and 3.x releases
