We generally only provide support for specific issues but I’m certainly happy to point you in the right direction. For most of our 5m+ customers, Wordfence should be effective out of the box with no requirement to tweak any settings. However, we never know the hosting platform or other services up-front like server firewalls or CDNs such as Cloudflare where a little extra configuration may be required. Most administrators will be using it without touching the settings day-to-day after initial setup.
If things seem a bit daunting, we have good free resources on our website, YouTube, and Learning Center so you can understand a bit more about how the plugin works. Once you’ve been using the plugin for a while, you might feel more confident to tighten up some settings or add features like CAPTCHA or 2-factor authentication for admin accounts.
