The BBPOS Chipper application is available on a drip-release to PRO Service customers. Public and free plugin users will have access to it once it has been released to the public. We expect to release it to the public in the next 1-2 months.
p.s. The reason it is not available to the public is because of an error in Stripe’s SDK which we have to work-around manually for every install, hence the drip-release. If you’d like to get more information on this product, please sign up for our newsletter.
Hi Brawlytech.
If you have not alreay done so, please check the subscription checkbox on your settings page. We will be sending out another announcement for public BBPOS chipper use next week. We’ve already sent out a few of these announcements, so we’ll mark this as resolved.
I am using v.2.0.1 and not able to connect my BBPOS reader to the WooCommerce Payments method. The plugin asks for a reader code, and will not accept the serial number I enter.
I want to confirm the steps I’m using to attempt this:
-using Edge on Windows laptop, and Chrome on Android phone
-added Stripe ID
-Stripe Account seemed to successfully link to Arcane
thank you for support in this configuration.
Sorry for the delayed response, we weren’t notified of this comment!
The BBPOS Chipper integration doesn’t work that way, it’s a mobile device reader, so you have to download our mobile application. Here are direct instructions: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/terminal-for-stripe-and-woocommerce/#installation
See “to set up a BBPOS Chipper reader” for step-by-step.
Please note that while Android is publicly available for download on the play store, the iOS app is by invite only (Apple is pending approval of public availability). If you plan to use iOS, you’ll have to send us a request to our support system.
