I have been using BBPress forum on my Lifter course site for a year or two.

I used to have a menu bar above each post or topic to let me edit or delete, etc. Now it’s gone and I don’t know how to reinstate.

There is no longer ‘Settings’ visible next to the plugin.

I’m not happy giving anyone access to the forum page as it’s very private for my users. The link above is to the site.

Hi @gillian0606

Did you install/update a plugin recently? If you did, you may need to temporarily disable the plugins to see if that’s the issue.

If not, then you’ll need to disable all plugins except LifterLMS and BBPress to see if it rectifies itself. Then, re-activate the plugins one after the other to know the conflicting plugin.

I’ll suggest you do this on a staging site so it doesn’t affect your live site.
