    Hi,

I’ve been using the plugin on the site and across most of my sites for a while now. I was using it earlier today without any issues. Now though, when I try to edit anything from the front-end it causes the browser window to lock up and crash completely. This is when I try to edit any pre-existing block.

The only error which shows is that the page is not responding, close or wait.

It was working fine with the plugins I have installed earlier and I haven’t added any extra since.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hey @gibbons1984,

    Thanks for posting!

Does it happen on all pages of the site? Or just on a specific page? Have you tried using a different browser and see if it made a difference?

The page builder holds almost all of the contents on a page so it’s possible a single element on the page not coming from our builder is causing the issue. Can you try disabling all other plugins on the site except the BB plugin and see if the issue is still there? 🙂

    Hi Ben

Thanks for getting back to me. I tested on Firefox and still had the issue. I’m using a custom CSS plugin, and interestingly, I deactivated the stylesheet that I was using and is now all working fine.

Are there any known issue with particular CSS rules? I was using :before with Font Awesome content codes, could that be the issue perhaps?

    Cheers

    Hi

I seem to have found the issue. I had set div {max-width:100%;} because the theme allowed the content to go out of the div. Not sure why but removing this rule has fixed the issue.

    Hey @gibbons1984,

Glad to hear you figured it out! And thanks for taking the time to inform us. 🙂

Weird how that would cause the browser to crash though. I just tried adding the same snippet on my local install and it didn’t cause any issues at all.

Instead of using a custom CSS plugin, can you try placing that snippet under Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS instead and see if it works? Or if you no longer need you can just leave it out. 🙂

    HI Ben

Yes, it’s all working fine now. I just set the actual container to max-width:100%; rather than div. Just seemed like the quick fix at the time but it’s all good now.

    Cheers for the help.
