Hey @simonmnd,
Thanks for your message!
We know about that. There is a known incompatibility with Beaver Builder and the option you talk about. Beaver Builder stores full page layouts serialized in the metadata, and therefore, when you tried to use the 2nd option, the whole layout disappeared and you ended up with a blank page. That’s why such option is disabled when using Beaver Builder.
Regarding your other question, I just did a quick test with 2 users and each can replace the other’s images. Please check your user roles (perhaps you are less than admin?) and if you still have issues, send us an email using this contact form. Make sure you mention this ticket!
Thank you!
Hi Gerard,
Thanks for the quick response.
Is there any plans to fix the issue with Beaver Builder so it will be compatible? I’ve also noticed if I log in to our website and go into the media library and click to replace a media file without using Beaver Builder at all, I still only get the single option.
I’m the super admin of the website. Basically when I go in to edit a media file, the drop down menu for author only gives a few users, not everyone who has a role. Here’s a screenshot –

Just wondered if there was a way to alter it so I can change the author to anyone who has a username on the website?
Good morning @simonmnd,
For now there are no plans to fix the issue, as we can’t change the way Beaver Builder works (which is where the issue is). The 2nd option will be blocked as long as Beaver Builder is installed, no matter how you reach the replace screen.
Regarding the author issue, I’m not sure I understand the issue. Are you talking about the Edit media screen (where the URL looks like http://www.example.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=273&action=edit)? If so, Enable Media Replace is not involved in there; the Author box and functionality is something coming from WordPress itself.
Cheers!
