You’re correct that the plugin will display basic but useful stats directly from Analytics, Search Console and more within your WordPress dashboard, after a simple set up process. There is a link to these services directly for more information, within the Site Kit dashboard.
The plugin website has more information on setting up the plugin, with more information on who Site Kit is for.
