Once I submit the form on the exit intent pop up a new empty form opens and then after a few seconds am redirected to the home page. Is it possible to show a confirmation page with a custom message and then have a close button in addition to the x in the top right corner?

    Hi @daniella124

    I hope you’re well today!

Are you using “email opt-in” type popup (so with built-in signup form) or “infomrational” type popup with some form from other plugin added, e.g. via shortcode?

If it’s a 3rd-party form (not built-in) then the first question is what does the form actually does itself? I mean – if you put that same form not in a shortcode but on a regular page, does it show any confirmation message and/or redirects to some other page?

I’m asking because Hustle shouldn’t be redirecting to homepage on its own unless it’s specifically set to do this in “Behavior” settings in “External form conversion behavior” option. If it’s set there to “Close the pop-up” or “Do nothing” but not to “Re-direct to form target URL” then it’s not Hustle but form itself that’s doing this redirect and it should be changed in form’s settings.

It would be best if the form wasn’t doing any redirect but was itself displaying some “thank you”/”confirmation” message and you could then set popup behavior for forms to “Do nothing (use for Ajax Forms)” which would result in behavrior:

    – popup shows up
    – user submits the form
    – confirmation message is displayed
    – popup stays open (without redirect) until it’s closed manually

As for closing popups – they can be closed by clicking “X” or you can also set it to be closed e.g. by clicking “anywhere outside the popup” – that can also be set on “Behavior” settings page of popup.

    Best regards,
    Adam

now that this 3rd party form has been submitted and the popup has been closed, how do we set it that it does not open again? what exactly is the conditional? I tried “after registration” but that does not seem to work. I am guessing that has to be for the built in form. In addition, I have a do not show on the thank you page….

    Hello @daniella124,

In the behaviour/ behavior section-> Behavior Section and select the way you would like it to work for you. Here is the screenshot for the same:

Do let me know if that works for you.

    Thank you,

Thank you, so the thank you page is fine. I just don’t want it popping up again after I submit it.
these are the settings I have – https://ibb.co/vBRCRL9

but it still keeps opening. It only stops opening when I manually close the pop up.

I want it to not open again for both things.

    Hello @daniella124,

The settings look good to me. To understand the behaviour further, would you be comfortable to share your site like here so that I could run a few tests? Do let us know the exact links where the exit intent is set to trigger.

    Thank you,

the exit pop up is set to every page except for the thank you page one goes to after signing up.
    olimadvisors.com

thank you page is the one page its set to not show at all – olimadvisors.com/thankyou

I want it that it does not show up on any page after someone fills it out and submits it

    Hi @daniella124

I’m afraid it is not possible at this moment using the 3rd party form, it because the plugin isn’t able to see this submission.

Could you let us know which 3rd service you are using?

The Hustle has some integration, one of the integration is Zapier that allows you to integrate with multiple other apps.

We also sent this thread to the hosting team as a feature request for future updates.

Let us know if you have any additional question on this.
    Best Regards

if I connect Mailchimp to a gravity form, will hustle recognize the submission properly and trigger the cookie properly to not reopen the window?
will one of the visibility rules/behaviors work with this set up?

    Hi @daniella124

    I hope you’re well today!

Hustle can’t “preventively” check submissions. It can only check it upon actual submission so if you got it set to not allow subscribing again then it will only hide popup after user submits an e-mail and it checks it.

It can’t also currently set visibility based on embedded/included form behavior, even if it’s connected to MailChimp.

We’re looking into that and in future the “close” behavior (e.g. not show for X time) will also be possible to be applied to 3rd-party forms submissions but that’s yet to come to the plugin.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
