best setting for static content website

    Noob question,

    I can tell plugin works, but I have a quick silly settings question.

    I have a cookbook site with some 130 posts. The site is static and never changes. What is the best expiration setting for the cache….”ZERO” or a huge number of seconds. Default is 3600…. I am slightly confused between spiry and garbage collection. Not the same?

    Please advise optimal setting for static/ frozen site.

    The site has low traffic (new) so I’d like to keep the cached pages stored once generated.

    You could probably set the expiry to as long as you want but on your site it probably won’t take long to regenerate the pages when needed.

    Garbage collection is just like real life. Someone collects the expired cache pages that are out of date and therefore rubbish or garbage. 🙂
