bestwebsoft gallery breaks theme css?

    On 3 sites, I installed and activated Bestwebsoft Gallery plug in, get this error:”The following files “gallery-template.php” and “gallery-single-template.php” were not found in the directory of your theme. Please copy them from the directory /wp-content/plugins/gallery-plugin/template/ to the directory of your theme for the correct work of the Gallery plugin”

    Then, my themes break:
    “ERROR: Stylesheet is missing.”

    These errors occur on 3 different websites, spread over 2 hosts. We have completely reset 2 of the sites to troubleshoot the problem and so far the only common point is this plugin.

    Really strange, but it seems as though the Gallery plugin is breaking stuff.

    Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas as to how to sort this out?

    The pages will be blank because themes are broken.

    After installing 4.2.7 on my theme it worked fine. But after 1 hour my complete theme was gone. I checked in the theme settings and it said the theme was broken. First I thought it was just unlucky and I screwed up myself. The wole theme folder, inclusing my custom CSS was gone.

    Today, 2 days later I made another WP site (with a complete other theme) and once again installed this plugin. After about 5 minutes it screwed up my theme again… including the custom CSS.

    Check your theme folder and see if your whole theme is gone too.

    Oh wow!

    That’s not good….. here’s hoping a fix comes along ASAP.

    Hi onegreenparker,

    Unfortunately, this problem is present in 4.2.7 plugin version. Please update to the latest plugin version (currently, it is 4.2.8) and check the permissions for the folder with the themes (wp-content/themes), as well as all folders in this folder. They should have 755 permissions – http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Changing_File_Permissions#Shared_Hosting_with_suexec.

    When done, please check if the folder with your current theme includes “gallery-template.php” and “gallery-single-template.php” files. If not, please copy them from /wp-content/plugins/gallery-plugin/template/ folder and check plugin work.
