In that case, you need to create a custom page with the shortcodes of BetterDocs which will be your homepage that you can set from Dashboard > Settings > Reading > select your page as your Homepage here: https://d.pr/i/QKg7JA
You can use this shortcode for the search box: [betterdocs_search_form]
and this shortcode for Category Grid: [betterdocs_category_grid]
And finally you can set that page in your Doc page from here: https://d.pr/i/ekLCCg
When you uncheck the Enable Built-In documentation page from here, you will be able to select your custom page from the setting.
