Big book deletion problems

    Hello Jake,

    Big deletion issue, slow or hanging response to complete a single deletion.

    I seem to be having some Db problems i.e. scanned in 2600 via 3 smartphones and 2 iPads returned home to carry out some admin to remove duplications that I believe cause blank entries when viewing the standard shortcode on a page in alph order then suddenly after deleting two checked duplicate books via bulk delete I lost a 1000 entries so now with only 1600 entries left I deleted a further single book entry (manually via bin icon) & found I had lost another 600 book entries now we are back to 1000 entries. With a whole two days of work lost..

    Is there any restrictions on the API you use?

    I also noticed that the original two duplicate book enrties I deleted at the beginning re -appeared after I refreshed the edit / delete page.

    What do you think is happening here?

    Does the system reject duplicates or not?

    This has been very disappointing for us after investing time & money in your bundle pack, as it seems your plugin is now showing signs that it is not very resiliant.

    Please let me know if there are any limitations for the API you use or Book entries I can make via the number of smartphones or mobile devices I can use to scan books in with to try and manage ISBN entry expectations..

    Plus let me know what Ideas or info as regards you need to check what causes this problem?

    Hi Jake,

    I resolved this by extracting what data I had left from the WordPress default library Db to a CSV file. Then deleted the whole existing library and created a new one where the ID table auto increment was reestablished.

    I had a lot of processing to do as regards ISBN extraction from the CSV to then concatenate the numbers with a comma to place and re introduce into the new default library via your bulk upload extension.

    Lots of work, dropping the ID table and re adding in the hope it will auto increment does not always work. if you know a good method to re-establish the Db ID table to auto increment correctly in the future please let me know.
