    Hi,

I decided to try out the free version of Give Wp before considering upgrading to a paid version.
Unfortunately I found that installing the plugin slowed down the WordPress back office considerably and that the donation request form wasn’t displayed even though I’d put the right shortcode on my page.

Can you explain this to me?

PS: Is it possible to give you access in private mode?

    Hi @pgo19 ,

Glad you reached out! Happy to help.

I’ve been using GiveWP on a test site; however, I haven’t encountered both of those issues. You can see my tests in here — https://www.loom.com/share/671fe02b509c41d8b27e8e2a83fd63c2?sid=28af90b5-f1e4-4dee-a2e7-518e957793a9.

Did I do what was required to replicate the issues?

If not, please share the exact steps that you took to reproduce the issue. If you can also send a screen recording using a tool like loom.com, that would be significant in diagnosing the concern.

Furthermore, please send along your System Info.

Navigate to Donations → Tools → System Info (tab) and click the button to “Get System Report” and copy/paste that in your reply here.

That will give me some more context to be able to help.

Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!

    Hi @pgo19 ,

For now, at this point, we need to check for possible conflicts. Here is what you should do:

    Step 1: Disable Plugins

    1. In the dashboard, navigate to the “Plugins” menu on the left sidebar. You will see a list of all your installed plugins. Select the checkboxes next to the plugins you want to disable.
    2. After deactivating the plugins, visit your website to see if the issue has been resolved. If it’s fixed, the problem was likely caused by one of the plugins.

Step 2: Enable Plugins One by One

    1. To identify the specific plugin causing the issue, re-enable your plugins one at a time.
    2. After reactivating each plugin, check your website to see when the issue reappears. This will help you pinpoint the problematic plugin.
    3. Once you identify the problematic plugin, you can leave it deactivated, update it, or seek support for a fix.

    Step 3: Troubleshoot Themes
If the issue persists even after deactivating plugins, you may need to check if your theme is causing the problem.

    1. Go to the “Appearance” menu in your dashboard.
    2. Click on “Themes” to see the list of installed themes.

Step 4: Activate a Default Theme

    1. Activate a default WordPress theme, like Twenty Twenty or Twenty Twenty-One. To accomplish this, click the “Activate” button on the default theme you want to use.
    2. Check your website to see if the issue is resolved. If it is, your original theme may be causing the issue.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Hi @pgo19 ,

It’s been a while since we’ve heard back, and I know troubleshooting needs a little extra time. I’m marking this as resolved for now, but if you still have questions, you can send them along right here, and I’ll be happy to hop back in.

    Have a great day!

    Hi,

    nothing works.

There’s an issue with your plugin…

I have the same problem and found that GiveWP loads 50 JavaScript files on the front end. Most of these script files should be restricted to the backend.
I’ve deactivated ALL other plugins to isolate the issue.
For some reason, GiveWP is loading core WordPress files on the front end.
