• Hi everybody,

I just installed a plugin for a site which required a few additional lines to be added to functions.php for my theme. I hastily pasted these lines in, not realizing that there was a semicolon missing, and saved the file. Now every page of the site returns a PHP error citing that line, including the editor itself when I try to fix it.

This would be simple to fix if I had FTP access, but I’m not the owner of the site so I don’t. I’m curious if anyone else has had this happen, and if there’s another way to fix it without going to the site owner and telling him I need the FTP info so that his site isn’t completely unusable.

    Any help is appreciated.

  • There is no way as you will need either delete and replace functions.php file or download and edit the file and that can only be done using ftp or server.
