You introduced a new “local pickup” function, that puts 2 tabs for “ship” and “local pickup” on the checkout page. First of all, the local pickup option is the default, which causes a high number of failed orders since customers click the checkout button without selecting a shipping address. But they live at the other end of the country.
I tried to fix it with a script that changes the active function from “local pickup” to “ship” right after the checkout page was loaded, but it is not reliable, and refreshing the page will set it back to “local pickup” anyway.
This is another case (one of countless) when the Woo team thought they develop something nice, but actually only produced a new nuisance.

I need a reliable way to change this back to the previous state, when “local pickup” was under the list of shipping options. This was way more reliable and led to much less faulty orders.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @volkerforster,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand your frustration with the plugin’s features, but your explanation isn’t entirely clear. Are you referring to duplicate local pickup options, or is the shipping method selection tab missing? I checked your site but couldn’t quite understand what you meant by having two tabs for shipping and local pickup. It would be helpful if you could provide a video recording or screenshot to clarify the issue. Here’s what I see on my end:
