I am wordpress beginner I recently installed wordpess running on XAMPP on the localhost. Now when I first installed it, in the Posts and Pages section Bin was showing up to delete content. Then after changing a few things in my site it stopped working and mysql did not start in XAMPP therefore I deleted everything and re-installed it. Now when I checked my wordpress site Trash is showing up in Posts and Pages section instead of Bin. The WordPress version I am running is 5.4 and it is up-to-date.

I was told that in the newer version Bin has replaced Trash then why Bin is not showing up now in my site…what cold be the reason?

There is no “Bin” in WordPress, however, if you were using the English (UK) translation, then it renames Trash to Bin, as you can see here:

So, they’re the same thing.

You can use the Settings->General screen to change the site language, or you can set your own language on your Users->My Profile screen.

Thanks! You cleared it up really well for me……yes now I am remember I had changed the language in settings to English (UK). Once I did it again Trash turned to Bin!! 🙂
