    Hi.

Thought you might want to be aware of the following. This has to be a false positive and I am sure you can easily address.

This message flashed up when viewing a subscription form on a client’s website. This has not happened before. Plugin version 4.9.4 / WordPress 6.2.2

“We blocked this dangerous page for your protection:
    https://redacted/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/assets/js/forms.js?ver=4.9.4
    Threat name: Trojan.GenericFCA.Script.22876
Dangerous pages attempt to install software that can harm the device, gather personal information or operate without your consent.”

Hi. I second that emotion. Two websites triggering that same warning today (before and after upping from WP 6.2.1 to 6.2.2). Deactivated for now. Look forward to getting/finding a fix of some kind.

    Hello,

Did you see this warning after any updates to our plugin or this 3rd party Bitdefender plugin?

Hi, I have the same problem. Bitdefender blocking my site due there is a trojan warning

    https://www.tennistraining-online.com/wp-content/cache/min/1/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/assets/js/forms.js?ver=1684786608

There has been no update as far as I know. But good to know Im not the only one here. Please help me out. Message is gone when I disable the plugin an clear cache.

Disabled the plugin until there is a solution. It blocks my site completely duo I have newsletter signup in the footer.

Thanks for letting us know about this.

I’ve checked the file on your site and compared it to the original and they are identical. And I’ve also double checked our code and ran it trough Virustotal as well and did not find any virus or trojan. Even BitDefender (on VirusTotal) isn’t reporting any issues on that code as you can see here: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/8ca10aeba965d03985c6a4527132d4a3716db8d80b49168affba630dacbca907

In other words, I’ve confirmed this is a false-positive from BitDefender and should be reported as such to them.

In the meantime it’s safe to whitelist this file in BitDefender.

    Kind regards,
