bizarre behaviour – /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=

after updating to woocommerce 6.8, other plugins that have submenus with /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=<whatever> links show the woocommerce orders page.

for example we have the popup builder plugin but this link: /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=popupbuilder goes to a page that looks like the woocommerce orders page with headings like:
Select All Order Date Status Billing Ship to Total Actions

of course no entries appear on page because those columns are for woocommerce orders. but the records for popupbuilder post type are in the wp_posts table.

same situation with marketing-coupons link.

it’s as if woocommerce orders page intercepts /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type= to show its own page.

has anyone seen this bizarre issue? any suggestions?

Hi there!

Thank you for contacting us.

I understand when you updated WooCommerce, the admin pages for other plugins are showing headings like Select All Order Date Status Billing Ship to Total Actions.

Could you try deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce, switch your theme to a default theme like Storefront or 2022, and then try checking Marketing > Coupons page?

further investigation revealed the usual reason behind most wordpress issues including our issue, plugin conflicts.

this was caused by a couple of older woocommerce related plugins which apparently don’t play well with woocommerce v6.8.
