Blank Default Date

I would like to create an optional date field that starts blank and is left blank if the user does not fill it. i.e. “If so, when?” I do not want this field to return today’s date – or any date – as the default.

Please, tick the “Use predefined value as placeholder” checkbox in the settings of the date field.

Thank you for your response, but that still show today’s date in the field on load.

Every date on this form has the “Use predefined value as placeholder” checkbox ticked. Every date field loads today’s date on load.

I just loaded the form in a different browser (Firefox Developer’s vs. Firefox) and it appears to be working correctly. But, today’s date does not clear in my regular browser even on hard reload and/or clearing the cache. Seems to be information retained by my browser. Thank you for the help, though.

The date fields are loaded with no value, but since you have enabled browser persistence from the “Form Settings” tab, the form populates the fields with the values stored by the browser.

Please uncheck the “Enable browser persistence” checkbox in the form settings tab:
