Download a fresh copy of WordPress to your computer, unpack the archive, then extract & upload the default theme folder to wp-content/theme using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
Thanks for the reply. I’ve tried this and it’s still the same blank page I’m afraid.
Try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin if you have any plugins installed. How many theme folders are in wp-content/themes?
Thanks – the plugins folder already reads a:0:{}.
There’s two theme folders – classic and default.
Can you confirm that the default theme is Kubrick? The style.css header should read:
Theme Name: WordPress Default
Theme URI: http://ww.wp.xz.cn/
Description: The default WordPress theme based on the famous Kubrick.
Version: 1.6
Author: Michael Heilemann
Author URI: http://binarybonsai.com/
What urls are entered in Settings/General?
Any custom permalinks? If so, try resetting to the defaults and deleting your .htaccess file.
Try re-uploading all files and folder from a fresh download of WordPress.
Was the site working before you imported your .com content?
Hi – managed to speak to someone from Just Host who has fixed it. Thanks for your time!
Any chance you could give a quick explanation of what caused this? It might help someone else with a similar problem.
