Hi Terry
There is quite a long list of potential 500 error causes.
Please, start by running a plugin conflict test as follows:
– Clear any caching plugins that may be in use.
– Temporarily deactivate all plugins at once except for Page Builder.
Does the issue persist?
Thanks for reply. Yes, I understand there could be a long list of causes.
But bottom line is when I deactivate page builder everything works.
I have spent few hours deactivating plugins and reactivating. At one point only plugin activated was page builder and still had issue. Use WP Fastest Cache plugin and used clear all cache many times.
Looks like I have some troubleshooting to do but not sure what else to try. At this point going to delete page builder and rebuild my pages using another method.
Have a good one.
FYI: Something to do with PHP 8.1.8
For quick test change to PHP 7.4 and issue vanished.
Sadly, for my current project have to use PHP 8+
Just pass on what I discovered.
Thanks
Hi Terry
Thanks for the update.
It shouldn’t be necessary to deactivate and reactivate plugins as described. Just the one test with all plugins deactivated except for Page Builder is enough to check for a working baseline.
Please, enable WP_DEBUG to see what’s there.
Debugging in WordPress
Hi Terry
A quick follow-up. If you’d like us to take a look at your debug.log file, we’d be happy to. There is a good chance errors are present in the log file. If not, no worries.
Cheers
Andrew
Thank you very much for follow up Andrew. Unfortunately, I had to remove the plugin and use another to get a project completed. Behind in my work by month due to illness and had to quickly move forward.
I have another site in plans (on same server, same PHP 8, ect) and will attempt to reproduce the error and then give you some logs.
Appreciate the willingness to solve the mystery:)
I’m glad to hear you’re making progress. If we can assist in the future, please, let us know. I’m sure we can resolve the issue or help to diagnose the problem.
Chat soon 🙂
