Hi, i do have over 240 connected domains on my mainwp dashboard, but recently, when i backup, it goes through the process, then after a few minutes (as the backup does take a few minutes using backupbuddy) the screen just goes blank, but i know the backup has been done.

Then if you log back into the dashboard, the backup is there to download, this only has started happening as i’ve added the last few domains onto my mainwp dashboard, any ideas?

    Hey @stephenturner

Just to be sure we’re on the same page, can you clarify where the blank screen appears? Is it on your MainWP Dashboard when you trigger the backups, or on one of the child sites? And are you backing up the child sites via MainWP, or running a backup of the Dashboard site itself?

If the blank screen is happening on the Dashboard while running backups on child sites, then the backups completing normally usually means the Dashboard is just timing out while it waits for them to finish. In those cases, increasing things like cURL timeout or max execution time on the Dashboard site can help.

You can try increasing those values. Here’s our guide with the steps:

Hi, thank you for the reply.

All the recommended settings were already set, except the cURL Timeout, my hosing company say this is somethign they generally cannot do, but i’m getting them to confirm this before i open a ticket for your support.

Just for a bit of info though, i have gradually added more and more websites to my MainWP dashboard and it’s only since i got to about 230 websites, did this start to happen, soemtimes it did, sometimes it didn’t, but now i’ve gone over the 240 websites number, it always just goes to a blank screen now after backup, but always completes the backup as it’s there when i log back in.

I’ll update this ticket when the hosting company have confirmed they cannot up my cURL Timeout and i have also asked what the current value is to.

    Thank you… 🙂

Hi, my hosting company has came back with this:

I can see that your max_execution_time is already at 300 here https://my.20i.com/services/2592492/software/php-configuration However, on our end, I have also made the default_socket_timeout = 300.

So everything is as recommended, i’ll take your advice and contact the support directly to see if there is a fix, it’s not an issue as it still backs up the website, thank you for your help… 🙂
