I oversee 30+ client sites on a dedicated server. We’ve had a lot of brute-force attacks which is why I’ve been exploring these options.

I have LSS installed and recently added WordFence. I was told to not let WF oversee login security. But they have a feature I really like which is to block anyone who tries to login with “admin” as the user name.

    So I have two questions….
    1) is there a way to do that in LSS?
    2) is there any harm in letting WordFence do that AND running LSS?

    Thanks,
    Sheila

That option doesn’t exist in LSS. It doesn’t gain much in the way of security. Though I guess it cuts down on the level of noise.

I don’t recall if running WordFence at the same time will cause problems. You can try and see.
