Hi @grahamkeen1,
is it possible to blacklist All countries and then whitelist GB as that’s where all my users are based.
Is it not enough for you to just set “Matching rule” as “Whitelist” and “Whitelist of country code” to “GB” like this?

I think it is not always true Chinese/Japanese spam email would comes from CN/JP.
If you already set as the above and this plugin did not work as you expected, then there might be another issue. In case of this, please let me know.
Thanks.
Thanks for your help.
I have tried but I’m still getting lots of emails coming through.
I was trying to put a screenshot in this reply but can’t see how to do it.
Graham.
Hi @grahamkeen1
I have tried but I’m still getting lots of emails coming through.
I should confirm the route of spam email. I guess you make a contact form on some front-end pages and get emails via contact form.
Is my guess right?
If so, you should block unexpected countries on Front-end like this:

In this picture, I assume your contact form is only in “Contact” page.
Please let me some details about your situation and configuration.
Thanks.
Sorry but I’m puzzled. I did have a list of any country I thought it might be coming from but I removed those when you said previpusly to block all and just have GB in the white list.
Graham.
Hi @grahamkeen1,
I did have a list of any country I thought it might be coming from but I removed those when you said previpusly to block all and just have GB in the white list.
I’m sorry but I could not get your point.
My point is that I can’t find any relation between the spam mails you had gotten and geo blocking. Even though the spam mail is written in Chinese/Japanese, it is not necessarily sent from China/Japan. And this plugin can block spam comment from blacklisted countries, but has no ability to block spam email.
Please forgive my closing this topic but feel free to ask me anything about your concerns.
