    Hi there,

I am auditing a site that I manage and notice deprecation warnings with the ifso/ifso-block

Block with API version 2 or lower is deprecated since version 6.9

    See: https://developer.ww.wp.xz.cn/block-editor/reference-guides/block-api/block-api-versions/block-migration-for-iframe-editor-compatibility/

Note: The block "ifso/ifso-block" is registered with API version 1. This means that the post editor may work as a non-iframe editor. Since all editors are planned to work as iframes in the future, set the
apiVersion field to 3 and test the block inside the iframe editor.

According to the guide linked from the warning, “In WordPress 7.1, the post editor is planned to always work as an iframe, regardless of the apiVersion of registered blocks.”

Everything appears to function correctly today, but I wanted to check if an update is planned ahead of the WordPress 7.1 iframe editor changes.

  • Hi @maxinacube,

Thanks for letting us know. Yes, we’re aware of the upcoming changes to the WordPress editor and plan to address them before WordPress 7.1 is released. Everything should continue to work as expected, but we’ll make the necessary updates to ensure compatibility with the iframe editor changes.
