Is there anyway to block hostname instead of IP? I’m seeing alot of the same hostname using different IP addresses and sending a brute force attack.

For example, I’m seeing many attacks at the same time from static.vnpt.vn which all have different IP addresses.

There is no such feature because it makes no sense. It simply doesn’t work the way you expect it. The hostname of an IP address can be easily spoofed. If you see such a feature in a security product, that means it has been implemented by a naive beginner or tens years ago.

The Internet has been invented in the assumption that computers in a network trust each other, meaning there is no fake DNS data. When it comes to public networks it’s not the case.
