    Hello @earl_d

If you are referring to Directory Browsing as a security vulnerability (where anyone can view the list of files in your folders), you are correct that this is a risk. While the Security by CleanTalk plugin doesn’t have a button specifically named “Block Directory Browsing,” we provide this protection through our Security Scanner and Upload Checker modules:

    1. “Warn me if important files are publicly available” option: the scanner automatically checks if critical directories (like “ROOT/.svn”, “ROOT/.git”) or logs (like debug.log) are accessible to the public. If it finds that your directory structure is exposed, it will alert you immediately so you can secure it.
    2. “Run the Upload Checker module” option: This module monitors the /uploads/ directory, which is the most common target for directory browsing exploits. It scans every uploaded file for malicious code using heuristic and signature analysis to prevent hackers from executing scripts even if they find a way to access the folder.

In short, while we don’t use the exact phrase “Block Directory Browsing” in the settings, our plugin actively monitors your directories to ensure no sensitive files are exposed and no malicious files are uploaded.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
