• Block Editor was working just fine yesterday afternoon. Since last night I cannot edit or create any new posts using the block editor. That means I also cannot edit. If I switch to Classic Editor I lose things from the post…ask me how I know…

I get a white screen with a white box that says “The editor has encountered an unexpected error.” It gives 3 options, attempt recovery, copy post text, copy error. Nothing happens if I click on any of them.

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Nineteen theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

I tried all that… AND MY BLOCK EDITOR IS NOT WORKING… I even paid Godaddy WP to check and changed themes and had Godaddy update domain… Why is not working…YUCK!!!!

I have the same problem. I’ve installed default WP theme as well to see if it helps. I’m on WordPress.com Personal plan and cannot install plugins to get back the Classic Editor.

I took my old site down completely and rebuilt from scratch (costly). I think the issue is with the older Linux like OS kernels that no longer recognize the language within updated versions – which is a real downer.

Cause in releasing new plugins that stuff should’ve been tested to see if it plays friendly with oder OS.

One of the venders for a Guttenburg plugin troubleshooted my old site and couldn’t supply an answer.

Install Gutenberg & your problem is done.

    UUMMMMMM!!! Not exactly
This reply DOES NOT answer if and/or why the second coming – block editor will work on older versions of Linus OS.

I didn’t come to an answer for my challenge I merely circumvented by creating a new website – trashing the old. That’s not resolution! That’s. Giving. Up.

    Hi
I having the same problem when using the block editor on the new page or editing my pages. WordPress shows me the wite page. I disabled all plugins, but this problem didn’t fix. This problem arose from the time I updated my WordPress to the latest version and had previously worked well with these installed plugins.
Is there a problem with the WordPress kernel?

I have a multisite with the plugin Classic editor and in some sites in the multisite I can choose between classic editor and blockeditor but in some other sites there is no option to choose editor.
