Block users from editing

    Yes, you can do that by disabling the following capabilities using a plugin like User Role Editor, or our paid Simple Intranet plugin in the Users / Groups area;
    si_edit_profile
    si_edit_profiles

    Ok. Thanks. I tried User Role Editor but unfortunately people can still access their profiles.

    Use the other core WordPress edit_* capabilities then for various roles you want to block.
