Blocked WP and plugin updates

    Hi I’ve inherited a site with wordfence (free) running I need to update WP/plugins but wordfence seems to be stopping me from access to update page. I’m logged in as admin?

    Hey @nicksw,

    Are you receiving any errors when trying to perform the updates?

    If you disable Wordfence does it resolve the issue?

    Hi @wfgerald

    Only that ‘you can’t access this page’ when I try and update through wordfence.

    Also I’ve tried to deactivate wordfence and nothing seemed to change in my level of access

    Hey @nicksw,

    My apologies for not completely understanding. Is it only Wordfence that won’t update, or is it all other plugins? If it’s all other plugins and WordPress as well, and deactivating Wordfence doesn’t resolve it I don’t believe Wordfence is going to be contributing to this. If this is the case I’d suggest reaching out to your host as the issue is going to be elsewhere.
